My provocation is as follows:
Mining does not bring any sort of benefit for the individual. Therefore you need to buy using fiat money BTCs and at the end of the game someone needs to sell BTcs for fiat money. This is far from being an ecosystem that can survive outside today’s economy which is based on fiat money.
The crypto ecosystem has evolved a long way since this post. How do you feel now?

Miners benefit all BTC users by securing the network and validating transactions. Flaws exist of course.
We even have anonymous trading platforms like DEXs and https://switchain.com/
some get paid in BTC. It is expanding.
